Isles send Pulock to AHL
After being activated from the IR with a lower-body injury, Isles’ top defense prospect Ryan Pulock has been sent to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.
Pulock had played just one game with the big club before his demotion. He’ll likely be up and down this year, as the Islanders look to jump start a lukewarm start to the Dauphin, MAN native’s professional career.
The 22 year old was drafted 15th overall in the 2013 draft. He showed promising numbers with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL in his draft+1 season, with 23 goals and 63 points in 66 games. In his brief stint on Long Island last year, Pulock had a decent 2G-2A-4P in 15 games.
Pulock will look to build on his 24-point-in-51-game season from last year as he’s sent back to the minors.
