On Wednesday, the Florida Panthers sent right-winger Logan Shaw to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for centerman Michael Sgarbossa.

Shaw has spent his time down with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL so far this season. The former third round, 76th overall pick has scored four goals and two assists in thirteen games this season. Shaw spent most of last season with the Florida Panthers, dressing a total of fifty-three games and scoring five goals and two assists. He also dressed in nineteen games for the Portland Pirates scoring eleven goals and three assists. It is expected that Shaw will stay up with the Ducks as they continue their five-game homestand.

Sgarbossa has split time this season between the Anahiem Ducks and the San Diego Gulls. The 185-pound forward put up two assists in nine games with the Ducks, while picking up a goal in two games with the Gulls. It is expected that Sgarbossa will start down with Florida’s AHL affiliate the Thunderbirds.
