Hall to miss 3-4 weeks, Pietila Recalled
On Wednesday, the New Jersey Devils announced they will be missing left-winger Taylor Hall for the next three to four weeks as he recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery for a torn meniscus in his left knee. The Devils kept Hall out of Tuesday’s lineup against the Stars as he returned to New Jersey for an MRI. The Devils have placed Hall on the injury reserve and recalled winger Blake Pietila from the Albany Devils.
Hall has dressed fifteen games for the Devils since being traded from the Edmonton Oilers during the offseason, scoring five goals and seven assists. The Devils will hope to continue their winning ways without their team’s leading scoring as they have won five straight and play the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday.
Blake Pietila leads the Albany Devils in Goals, Assists and Points so far this season. The former fifth round pick, 129th overall has scored six goals, five assists in twelve games this season. Pietila had a small stint with New Jersey last season, playing a total of seven games in the NHL scoring a goal and an assist.
