Chicago Blackhawks rookie defenseman Gustav Forsling was able to find the back of the net for the first time in his NHL career. Sunday night, Forsling blasted a shot from the blue line past Al Montoya to give the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead. It took the Linkoping, Sweden native 14 games to record his first goal and is now on a 3 game point streak. Forsling has recorded 1 goal, 3 assist and a plus-3 rating with the Blackhawks this season.

This is the first season the 20-year-old has spent in North America previously playing in the SHL with the Linkoping HC. Forsling was drafted 5th round, 126th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
