The Vancouver Canucks have sent forward Sven Baertschi down to the Utica Comets of the AHL.

The former Flames 13th overall draft pick has seen quite the turn around since being traded to the Canucks at the trade deadline. Baertschi recorded 15 points in 15 games with the Utica Comets and 2 points in 3 games with the Canucks compared to his 25 in 36 with the Adirondack Flames and 4 points in 15 games with the Calgary Flames.

Baertschi was sent down after the Canucks lost a hard fought series against his former team, the Flames. The Flames took the series 4-2. The Comets are currently facing the Chicago Wolves in the Calder Cup playoffs and currently are tied in that series 1-1. Adding Baertschi should help in the scoring department and maybe turn things in favour of the Comets.
