Kyle Jean has signed a professional try-out contract with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL

Since going pro after playing some NCAA, Kyle Jean has been a bit of a journeyman, playing for the Connecticut Whale/Hartford Wolf Pack, Charlotte Checkers, Lake Erie Monsters in the AHL and the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL over 3 seasons. This season, Jean has 34 points in 46 games in the ECHL for the Road Warriors, and 2 points in 8 games for the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL.

The 6-foot-4, 203 pound forward went undrafted in his draft year and has had to take the harder road in his pro career. The 25-year-old likely won’t see NHL time, but can be a solid player in the minor leagues and will be for some time.
