This week’s League it to Us Power Ranking: 12th in the NHL, 6th in the Western Conference, 3rd in the Central Division.

Points of the Week

1. Impressive Comeback and Then Some

The Rockford IceHogs were losing to the Lake Erie Monsters 3-1 close to the end of the second period this past Saturday. The IceHogs managed to rally back and score five unanswered goals to get the 6-3 victory in a game that was dominated by the IceHogs in the latter half.

2. Kyle Beach Named AHL Star of the Week

Kyle Beach of the Rockhord IceHogs was named the CCM AHL player of the week this past week. The right winger scored 3 goals and added 2 assists in 2 games.

3.  Honouring the Current Soliders and Veterans 

The Rockford IceHogs are offering free tickets to all active and retired military personnel this Saturday in honour of all the men and women who fought for their country.

4. Leading the Way

Brandon Pirri is leading the IceHogs in goals and points. In ten games this season he was scored five goals and added five assists for ten points. He is the only player on the Rockford roster that is playing at a point per game average.

Who To Watch

Carter Hutton, the goaltender for the Rockford IceHogs. He has posted a record of 4-4-1 along with a 2.67 GAA and a .909 save percentage. The IceHogs are relying heavily on the play of Hutton and he if we can play really well this season the IceHogs could be able to make a push for the Calder Cup as an underdog.
